I was introduced to a kid named Capricorn Anderson in a book called Schooled written by Gordon Korman. In the book so far I got to know a little bit about what it might be like to transfer from a home school to a regular middle school. Because he was home schooled and a “hippie” he was badly stereo typed because they thought he was stupid and “uncool” not just because of being home schooled but his clothing choice as well such as straw sandals and tie dye shirts. Often he was called a “freakazoid” by many people such as Sophie Donnely or Zach Powers who almost never took the time to get to know his side of the story.

ReplyDeleteA great summary of the character! You did structure your paragraph into the three components of a rant but you did not talk about how other people are contributing to the problem or what a call to action would be. We will continue to work on this idea.
